"The number of outstanding volunteers who give of themselves to the San Fernando Valley is truly remarkable. Each year, we are pleased to honor the five finalists and their many years of service to the community. Our annual dinner recognizes the importance of all volunteerism within the San Fernando Valley, and particularly that exemplified by these five finalists, one of whom will be selected by our distinguished panel of voters as the recipient of the prestigious Fernando Award."
